Colombian Songbird Rose spent her early years in this South American country, where she performed and travelled as a singer in the children’s choir ‘Ars Nova’.
Rose’s arrival in Australia at the tender age of 14 opened her eyes to the range of vocal inspirations at her fingertips.
A major highlight of her career was sharing the stage with nominated Grammy award singer Tito Nieves—known as the ‘Pavarotti of Salsa—during the 2003 ‘La Feria de Cali’ (Cali Festival) in Colombia.
Another happy highlight was her corporate experience with the Kayser underwear advertising campaign on TV—of course you remember those beautiful girls sha-sha-shaying in Brazilian headdresses! ‘Kayser Brazilian Cottons’ won the bronze medal at the 2006 MADC Awards for The Best Original Music for a TV Commercial.
Rose has performed at the Rumbódromo in Colombia and, today, often sings in the venues of Melbourne’s vibrant music industry, like Bennett’s Lane, Manchester Lane, Hamer Hall, BMW Edge, Federation Square, Blue Diamond, Palladium, The Famous Speigle Tent, and Kanela—Melbourne’s world-class flamenco venue.
Rose works in classical, jazz, and world music. She executes her original compositions and various traditional selections, drawn from her Latin American background.
Now Rose is working on her Original project that will see the light next year.
