Safar is a journey through time by a group of young virtuosos. In an unusual setting of voice, lutes, guitar, double bass and tombak/udu/daf, they play a mix of jazz, medieval and 20th century music with Arabic, Turkish and Sefardic melodies on a Persian tapestry of sound.
