About Me

Welcome to the "Offical Fragile Janeâ„¢ Myspace Page".
Fragile Janeâ„¢ was formed in the early '90's between two dynamic forces. A singer songwriter by the name of Astrid Pazmino and James Delia( o}===;;;â„¢. James was working with a couple of long time friends already, namely Alan Edwards on bass and Tim "Thunder" Callahan in a power trio which had not yet started performing but were well into writing and preparing to assault the world.
After a chance meeting between Pazmino and Delia via an ad in one of the local scene publications, Fragile Jane was born. With immediate results from the bands first rehearsal the writing potential seemed limitless.
After several local performances (back when South Florida actually had a "Live Music Scene") the response from the public for a release was overwhelming. The group enlisted the services of Keith Rose an audio engineer at Criteria Studios in North Miami. In one weekend the group cut several tracks for the album entitled "Sitting In The Big Chair", and mixed them with the intention of submitting the material to a major label that expressed interest Fragile Jane's music and talent.
Tragically that same weekend while Pazmino and Delia were finishing up the final mixes word came through to the group that their drummer Tim "Thunder" Callahan had been in a mortorcycle accident and was enroute to Jackson Memorial Hospital via and air lift. The situation wasn't good. Tim had suffered a severed left foot saved only by his Achilles Tendon, a shattered femor in his left leg and several fractures to his left arm. He had actually died twice on the airlift to the hospital and was revived twice. After numerous surgeries and a lot of pins and screws utilized to reconstruct his fractures, Tim made what the doctors called a miraculous recovery. After only 6 months of healing and thearpy Tim made his way back to his first love, his drums.
Whilst Tim was healing Fragile Janeâ„¢ honored prior performance commitments with a stand in drummer named Kenny Q. Kenny Q, although a great drummer with a completely different style then Callahan, fullfilled the position with little issues. However, it just wasn't the same.
When the time came for Callahan to return to his position in the band, unfortunately his complications from his injuries prevented him from being able to perform longer then 30 to forty minutes without suffering extreme pain in his left ankle which had been left with limited mobility and stiffness, along with his elbow on his left arm which suffered similar symptoms. (Pins and screws still inside.)
However, before the band broke up Tim "Thunder" Callahan managed to squeeze out a few recordings, which are on the "Never Surrender" recordings, before retiring from the drums and pursued the field of computer graphics.
With the interest of the major label already diminished as the groups performances were not as expected without their original drummer Callahan (being one of the main driving forces of their unique style), the group decided to disband and that was the end of Fragile Janeâ„¢ as a live group.
But thanks to the digital age their music lives on here. So please enjoy what is here and we hope you come back often.
Much love,
Fragile Janeâ„¢
