Back when The Pipeline in Newark NJ was still around and Hardcore and Punkrock was the BIG scene in NJ Jay and Adam used to skateboard alot together goto shows hangout ect. Jay was in many bands before. one he was currently in at the time the band No Regrets (http://www.myspace.com/No Regrets). Pedro was in a band called victimized or something like that. Adam was in a few bands here and did fill in vocals for a few bands also. Adam used to set up shows in alot of venues around the NJ NY area. one of the shows he booked at the pipeline started looking bad when the headliner (don't remember who it was at the moment) canceled. emelio owner of the pipeline asked adam to just book his own band as the headliner, little did he know that dodgeball heros (adam's hardcore band with Joey Southside of The Banner and Brian Butt Foley of Day19) broke up shortly before that. Adam and Jay decided to throw together a band to fill the spot. Two weeks before that show Adam and Jay where asked to play a halloween show... at this point they didn't even have a name or a drummer... Jay and adam knew Pedro from shows and asked him to play this show with them. earlyer that day we went to Josh and Lennys (of the band dreadnok) house to practice before the show. we wrote 5 songs on the spot all of witch where no longer then 30second grind songs. we then drove over to the show. on the way to the show Jay and Adam came up with the name Future Primitive NJ named after an old school 80's skateboard video from the company powell and the state we lived in. 20 seconds into our first set (witch was more like or extended practice of the day) we almost completed one song and all hell broke loose and aparently Adam felt the need to bash some girls face in with the mic stand... pedro then started throwing the drum kit at people... jay kept playing like if nothing happend. it was amazing. two weeks go by and we prctice one more time for the pipeline show somehow we already got a bad rep cause of our first show we did. people already wanted us to die. pipelines show ment alot cause it was our first real show for our friends and the hardcore scene. we ended up playing a full set with out much bloodshed and very few fights but alot of threats. after a few more shows alot more bloodshed and two 7" records Jay decided to move on and play in other bands. pedro and adam still played one or two shows. Adam tried to book the band at as many venues as possible but club owners and kids where scared of the chaos that we brought to our shows. Adam was approched several times by the police about other incedents at shows thinking it was us playing there. Adam then lost contact with pedro and jay for awhile and recorded a demo tape with an unknown guitarest and a drum machine. played out a few more shows with random members and then adam got arrested outside a show in the parking lot of a VFW for hospitalizing someone. this was the end of FPNJ for many years. Jay and Pedro years later found a new band called LipService (http://www.lipservicerock.com or http://www.myspace.com/lipservicerock). Adam went on and did a few other projects.
