The Gideon Sound is a little sound hailing from the hills of Northern California. Started by David Gideon in 1998, the sound has come along way since then. The Gideon Sound has opened up shows for Beenie Man, Buju Banton, Bounty Killer, Jr. Reid, Micheal Franti and many more. As just one man against a world of sound crews, Gideon still remains formidable with a slew of "dubs" or "specials" from many of Jamaica's finest singers and DJ's. The Gideon Sound was inspired by journeys that David Gideon would take to Jamaica as a youth. On these trips to "yard", Gideon would take in Bass Oddessy, Stone Love, Jah Love and the likes. Now based in the Bay Area, Gideon works exclusively with Revolution Sound Studios and is the executive producer of his own album and a new project by talented and soulful San Fransisco based singer; Jethro Jeremiah, who's album is expected to be released sometime in the spring of 2009. Also, Gideon has played "Reggae Rising" (formerly "Reggae on the River") two years in a row with Ishi Dube and the Lion Camp Crew of which Gideon is a member. RESPECT TO ALL MASSIVE AND ALL CREWS.
Love and Respect to all who have taken time to view my site and listen to my tunes!!!
