HARP EXPLOSION! Thee One Man Band
------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------
Prvom svirkom u Murskom Središću 18.07.2009. oživio je Iggyjev one man band projekat pod nazivom Harp Explosion.

------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------
Igor Djeke aka Iggy Knucklehead, was born in Vinkovci in 1976. His interest in
harmonica began at the age of 20. By playing blues and garage classics he taught himself the harmonica and built his own style. He began playing actively around 1999. at the various jam sessions.
------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------
At the end of 2001., he forms the band Thee Knuckleheads with his friends. They played obscure r'n'r instrumentals from the fifties and sixties (The Bar-Kays, Link Wray, Wailers...) After a year of live performances and a album 'Garage Soul Instrumentals' for the independent label Listen Loudest, the band falls apart and after a short break gathers again under the same name, but with the different members. Iggy, along playing the harmonica, starts singing, mostly the covers of their favourite garage punk'n'roll bands (Gories, Andre Williams, Oblivians, The Sonics, Jack o' Fire...). In the end of 2004. a new guitar player joins the band and Thee Knuckleheads start producing original material in the style they named garage soul. The band has a heap of concerts and gigs behind them, a flaming harp as the trademark, and is still playing actively.
------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------
In 2005. Iggy starts the Harp Player blog, gathering the harmonica enthusiasts. The blog grew to a portal, today the only web page dedicated to the harp players and new-created harmonica scene in Croatia.
------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------
In the same year he is a guest performer on the second album of the garage punk rock band The Babies produced by legendary Tim Kerr (Jack o' fire, Lord high fixers, Poison 13...) and published by the Rip it up records.
------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------
To this day with Thee Knuckleheads, Iggy played over 50 concerts across the country and a few outside, and as a guest harmonica player he shared the stage with The Babies, Messerschmitt, Moonlight Drive and Small House Brown.
With his harmonica performances he participated on three Croatian Blues Harp Fests 2007. after which he opens this MySpace profile, with the intention of getting together with friends and other musicians from all around.
