I'd like to meet:
Wow, way too many to list, but off the top of my head...Gram Parsons (TRULY, TRULY, TRULY missed. Cosmic American Music lives on...but it misses its Daddy), Emmylou Harris (the finest female voice on the planet...an Angel among mortals), Audrey Tautou, Mary Lou Lord (one day I'll write something worthy of a duet with her), David Bowie, Al Kooper (I have to know what it was like to record 'Super Sessions' with Mike Bloomfield...f**king genius!), Paul Thomas Anderson ('Magnolia' still haunts and inspires me everytime I watch it), Ricky Gervais (the reason I still watch television), JD Salinger ('The Cather In The Rye' is great and all, but 'Franny & Zooey' and 'For Esme: With Love And Squalor' are the masterpieces), Robbie Robertson (his 'cover up' solo for Eric Clapton when his guitar strap popped during 'The Last Waltz' is not only one of my favorite musical moments, but my favorite live concert moment caught on film as well...WHAT A PRO!...oh yeah, and he wrote some pretty good songs too *massive understatement*), Janis Joplin (oh, could she sing the blues!!! if you want to shiver from head to toe, check out the Woodstock version of 'Work Me, Lord'. Damn near loses her voice at the end and then digs so f**king deep, willing herself, beating the words into submission, Triumphant as always...Transcendental!), Keith Moon (THE greatest R'N'R drummer of all time...his playing was all gut and emotion...a living, breathing detonator with a stick of dynamite in each hand. Need proof? Check out 'Amazing Journey/Sparks'...a revelation!)...To Be Continued
