About Me

Hi, my name is Jo Treggiari. I figured that the hero of my book, "The Curious Misadventures of Feltus Ovalton", was much more exciting than I am. I mean I'm pretty cool and all, and I've had quite a varied life so far (like putting out gangsta rap records, training as a boxer and meeting Donny Osmond, Ice Cube and David Bowie- not at the same time!) but this is about my book not about me. If you want you can read my bio. I'll stick it at the end of this spiel. But let's get back to the book- It's a fantasy with a lot of dark humor and a plethora of bizarre characters. Eleven- year old Feltus Ovalton LeRoi is a bit of a loner with a chip on his shoulder. With no friends at school and parents who ignore him, Feltus hides out in his room, reading comic books and wishing that something- anything- exciting would happen. Then with a ring of the doorbell and a loud "Wex Lethoo Radok!", Great Aunt Eunida appears...and everything changes. Feltus knows there is something very peculiar--and possibly dangerous-about his great aunt, but he doesn't quite know what it is. Nor does he know that there are secret entrances to his bedroom and dining room that are used by entities from alternate dimensions. And Feltus definitely does not know what happens when you mess with magic. But he's about to find out!Ok, here's a bit about me:I was born in London, England and raised in Ottawa, Ontario. I've also spent quite a bit of time in Roccasinibalda, Italy-Oxford, England- Cairo, Egypt- Berkeley and Oakland, California and Noo Yawk, Noo Yawk. At age six I started revising classic fairy tales, making the baddies really really bad and giving the princesses more grit. A trained boxer (Oaktown, baby!), I've written for punk magazines, flogged indie rock back in the day (Replacements, Husker Du,Misfits, Camper Van Beethoven & everybody else who was anyone in '85) )worked promotion for countless gangsta rappers, owned my own record label, and dug ditches for a landscape gardening company. Now I write.
