M Key started his professional DJ career in 1997. He is currenty one of the most recognized dance music figures in Lithuania, and is considered as one of the most talented and progressing house masters in the Baltics. First getting his name as a deep house specialist, M Key is now making mark as an exceptionally universal and stylistically diverse DJ.
M Key gained recognition not only in Lithuania or Latvia, where he finished studies. In 2001 he won an award in the UK’s prestigious Muzik magazine’s worldwide competition for young DJs “Bedroom Bedlamâ€. The world’s recognized music experts and journalists praised M Key for his exceptional music selection and superb mixing skills.
M Key, a constant guest of clubs and various scale events in Lithuania and abroad, has already shared one scene and decks with such world renowned characters as Sandy Rivera (Kings Of Tomorrow), Boris Dlugosch, Danny Rampling, Alexander Barck (Jazzanova), Daniel Wang, S.U.M.O., Mikael Nordgren (D‘Malicious/ Tiger Stripes/ 12th Floor), Ben Mitchell (Sao Benitez/ Mr. Hermano/ Mitchell & Dewbury), Tim Hancock (The Capoeira Twins), Rune Lindbaek (Those Norwegians), etc.
Since 2002 an especially active player of Lithuanian dance music scene, M Key has noted himself not only as a dj, but as a party promoter as well. In 2003 he joined another recognized Lithuanian DJ Vidis to form DJ duo Kitoki. In spring 2004 Kitoki developed into an organization uniting the DJ duo, event promotion team and a specialized web magazine called Mag’as.
In 2005 M Key quit his DJ career for unrestricted time period. Currently he is busy with preparation of special mixed compilations. Not available for bookings yet. Planning to come back to scene in 2008.
