MALAY GHOSH started learning music at very early stage of his life from his father Mukunda Gopal Ghosh. Malay has learnt Lok Sangeet from the rural folk singers of Bengal.
He started performing on stage from 1986 and had performed in more than 5000 stage shows. He had performed at EZCC, various Youth Festivals, Bengali Sangeet Mela, State Sangeet Academy, Bhutan Govt., Bengali Associations of Cochin, Kerela and at various function all over West Bengal.
He is a "Top Grade" Bengali Folk singer andGrade - II music composer of All India Radio (Kolkata)
He had also got various awards at State Sangeet Academy,Empanelled Artist of ICCR, EZCC Govt. of India.
His first ever album released was from HMV named SAGAR KULER NAIYA in the year 1999.
His second album named KOLKATA (Collection of Bengali Modern Songs) released from Sristi Cassettes in 2001.
Malay can play rhythm & various folk instruments.
Malay has a group of Bengali folk music graded by AIR Kolkata named "SAPTAK".

Recently Malay visited Italy to promote Bengali Folk Music and Rabindranath Tagore's(Nobel winner Indian Poet) music!
He performed in many italian cities and he was highly appreciated!
He worked in Italy with renowned Novelist and musician Andrea De Carlo and Arup Kanti Das (an indian percussionist)!
And he has also performed (and arranged) for a Tagore Songs Album called "CANZONI" in Italy!
