BIG MEL

I grew up on the South Side of Chicago 80th & eberhart, 76 & Drexel & 95th & Indiana. I started rapping when I was in 8th grade damn near 11 years ago. I changed up my flow a couple times, but the boy grew into something serious.I stared off just all freestlyin when I was much younger. as I grew I statred messing with battle rappin & cypherin. I lost way more battles then I have won, but your boy was getting sicker with every challenge. With me it got to the point where I had niggas tryna rap just cause they scene how I was getting better. Once my writting skillz surpassed my freestlyin I decided it was time to record some of this shit. I was saving up money from my bull shit job at the show so I could go make a bullshit record in a bullshit studio in the basement of Fordcity. Now they had a real studio in the back but my money wasn't right. I put a couple freestlyes out around the hood & got positive feed back. So now you dealing with a young black motivatied nigga in the booth so I felt I had to step my studio game up. I joined up with my hommie Tezo & became one of the founding forefathers of Pioneer Production. I use to see Tezo all the time growing up but we never really was cool like that. Until our late teens we found we had a common ground in music, and we been making it happen ever since. We got on the grind & went and got quality shit so we could put that quality sound in peoples ears. In a city with so much going on I managed to stay focused on the task at hand & not be labeled similar to the underground sound that was going around, so thats why when niggas ask (what it is?) or (where I be around) or (what I am) I tell em PIONEER BITCH !!!!!!!!!
