We are integrating social interest and a relaxing atmosphere to create a NEW TWIST on socializing in Tulsa .... The Urban Mixer was created to fulfill a need for something different in the Tulsa community and to present a NEW way for people to meet and interact with others outside of the club scene.
O n May 31st we held our first event, Urban Speed Dating . Speed Dating is easy and it provides a safe and fun atmosphere to network and mingle with other Tulsans. Speed Dating gives you a chance to “ date †with each person of the opposite sex for 7 minutes. At the beginning of the event you are given a score card and after each date you will mark either Yes or No, you are even able to specify the interest you had in your date. If you mark Yes, you can select from the options of: Business/Networking , Friendship , or 2nd Date . Scorecards will be collected, and an e-mail will be sent to each individual who has a MUTUAL match.
T he Tulsa Urban Mixer is NOT all about finding a date for the weekend. The Urban Mixer provides a way for Tulsans to interact with one another in a low pressure atmosphere. The Urban Mixer is PERFECT for those who are new to Tulsa, and for those that just want to have a good time minus the club environment
