Who is DJ K.I.? *******************DJ K.I. personifies music that is passionate. This is a man who believes that his mixes should make you say, Oh Yes! Wicked! K.I. pumps bangin beats, warm, hypnotic melodies and thought-provoking lyrics that make people want to dance. K.I. celebrates our love of music through a heartfelt vibe for friends and lovers.Born in Port-Of-Spain, Trinidad - the birthplace of calypso/soca and the steelband - but raised in Canada largest city Toronto, DJ K.I. was schooled in the sounds of Rock, Funk, Soul, & Disco. This deep and diverse background in music has given DJ K.I. the ability to transform dance floors into a frenzy of gyrating, sensuous bodies.K.I. now works re-mixing projects for Up All Night Productions based in Miami, Florida. As well, had the prestigious job as Production Coordinator for the Annual Miami Winter Music Conference since 2003.The future is looking up with a website launch and a CD compilation series in the works, while a slew of DJ gigs are being planned for Canada, USA, UK, and hopefully the rest of the world. DJ K.I. repertoire covers Hip Hop, House, R&B, Rare Groove, Classic Soul, Funk, Jazz, Salsa, Reggae and Soca with even the kitchen sink thrown in if the dancers call for it.His unique approach and technique in handcrafting mixes on turntables and studio mixing boards have become an obsession.
