Drive me crazy? Baby, I'm so close, I could walk...

About Me

Ahhh, this would be that very special place where I try to talk myself up without sounding arrogant, right? Well, sorry to disappoint, but I'm just me and those who know me seem to be okay with that. As I'm sure you'll figure out if you see any of the rest of this page, I'm a whitewater girl... if you haven't tried it yet, you have no idea what you're missing. It's the greatest sense of freedom in the world. Big trip on the horizon, the Tatshenshini River in Alaska this summer. I'm just counting down the days, Kids... it's going to be one hell of a ride.a href="http://www.freecodesource.com" style="position:absolute; top:0px;background-repeat:no-repeat;left:0px; height:155px; width:115px; background-image:url

My Interests

White water rafting, kyaking, pretty much anything on the water makes me one happy girl. I'm spoiled, my dad's a river guide and I get to pretty much man handle any whitewater in New England for free and without the restrictions of doing commercial trips. I'm still waiting for that Grand Canyon trip, though, Poppa! I'm also an archery instructor, I've found there's no better means of stress relief. Skydiving, hiking, I'm an out doors kinda' girl. And as for the indoor entertainment, well... I do loooove my beer. It's good to know I can still hold my own after all these years.

Music:

Lord, everything! I do so love the music I grew up to, The Doors, The Stones, Eric Clapton is my God. I love the Counting Crows, the Black Crows, The Eagles (I'm finding a bird theme here, and just realizing it for the first time, weird!) Old School rock n' roll... like circa 1960 and 70. Sublime makes me giddy. HUGE fan of all things acoutic. If a man can play and play well, I'm sold. John Mayer, Jonny Lang... Love 'em. I'll blast some country if the feeling strikes, I'm not afraid to admit it. My music totally depends on my mood.

Movies:

Boondock Saints (Which, I'm proud to say, I loved before it became the underground classic it's known as today) All things Ron White (I ADORE him!!!), Braveheart, Love Actually, Rounders, Poolhall Junkies, Wedding Crashers, The Sweetest thing (mostly because I SWEAR Christina Applegate based her character on me!) and a few other chick flicks I'm a little too embarrased to admit I watch when they're on t.v. :-) Also, I'm a big fan of the movie Elizabethtown... while it's not the most riviting film ever, it has a great message. It could possibly be my new motto. On my deathbed I don't think I'll ever look back on my life and say "Wow, I really wish I went to work that day". Think about that. That, and I'm fairly sure I am a living example of the 'subsitute person'. Watch the flick, dude. You'll understand.

Television:

I'm not a HUGE TV fan, but I do love Sex and the City to an unhealthy degree. Also, my Sunday's completely revolve around ABC's nightly line up. Extreme makeover: Home Edition, Desperate Housewives and Grey's Anatomy. I'm hopelessly addicted!

Books:

Tuesdays with Morrie, The five people you meet in Heaven, Blink, The DaVinci Code, Angels and Demons, The color of water, The Celistine Prophacy, all things Jane Austin, Kurt Vonnegut, Atlas Shrugged, and a whole bunch of others. And, I'm not ashamed to admit I also love the Harry Potter books. Bite me... haha!

Heroes:

The amazing women in my family... my Mom for being the most intelligent, most thoughtful person in the world, my fabulous Aunt Andi for teaching me things in life that I would never have known without her. My beautiful Aunt Melanie for always being there for me, no questions asked. My stepmother, Karen... for so many reasons but foremost for being the glue that holds this family together. We are a team and it simply does not work without you. Thank you for being so strong and teaching me what really matters most. My sister, biological or not, Angela... for being undoubtably the most wonderfully amazing and not to mention strong person I know. And ofcourse, the two most beautiful girls alive, Sophia and Olivia... more than words, Ladies. That's all I can say.
