I'm twenty-six, single, and a self-proclaimed " geek ". That doesn't mean that i go around biting the heads off of chickens or anything; it just means that i can generally be found either dinking around on the computer or kicking back and playing video games with my friends. I quote movies and song lyrics in casual conversation, i occasionally find myself in debates over trivial matters (such as whether Han or Greedo shot first in Star Wars) and i have been known to let a shout of "n00b" or "LOL" slip out in the heat of the moment. My favorite things to talk about, tho, are movies and music. I love finding out about movies that i haven't seen and musical artists that i haven't heard, and sharing my own "discoveries" with other people.
I graduated Furman University in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, and quickly discovered that that hype they feed you in high school about people "lining up" to give you employment just b/c you have a college degree was a load of hooey. But i managed to find employment @ a local wine & liquor distributor -- not in accounting or billing, but as a computer operator (go figure). I recently moved into an apartment in West Columbia, and while it's not exactly the consummate "bachelor pad", it's a sight better than living with the 'rents. So now in addition to patching up communications with certain fellow alumni that i've kind of alienated over the past few years, i'm trying to reach out and meet some new faces -- which, admittedly, i've never been good at. But i am @ least trying...
