Fact 2: We're not "most" local bands. Formatta, what is Formatta?
Formatta is a 5 piece upcoming band from the West Side of Jacksonville, Florida. Formatta consists of 5 best friends that have worked together for several years.
Thanks to the our good friend Jeffery Ackerman, we've obtained more publicity and popularity. He also gave us the opportunity to play our first show, May 5th, 2005 a Cinco De Mayo Concert at Jeff Davis Middle School. We played all day in front of basically the entire student base.
We're currently attending Nathan B. Forrest High School in Jacksonville, Florida. We're all in the Marching Band, Concert Band and Jazz Band at Forrest High.
Since then, we've played many shows around Jacksonville, and many out of town shows as well. We practice hard and have worked on our current set/show. Now Formatta has been playing all over Jacksonville,and we could of never did any of this if it wasnt for all of the people that gave us a chance and all the bands we work with.
Without the love and support of our friends and family, none of this would have been possible. Our manager Larry Briscoe, runs a site called JaxBands.com and has helped us gain most of our equipment, talent, and shows.
