About Me

Born Alejandro Alvarez, May 13, 1987, Alex grew up on Miami Beach in a colombian household raised by his mother his whole life. Ever since Alex was very young he remembers not eating much of his mother's food and found himself as a child having a co-dependency for cheese as his favorite food. Which also in retrospect, would be the main reason for the nick-name he would adopt years ahead growing up.
Alex was into music as a baby according to his mother. He would dance to music on TV or anything his mother would listen to. He got into rap music at the age of 9. By 11, his sixth grade year, is when he wrote his first rhyme. Not until that summer would he really start getting into his writing craft through a friend he met at Summer Camp 99'.
{''When I met Brian, I was already 12 and he was 2 years younger than me. Since I was already buying rap albums and was into the whole rap shyt, he asked me if i rapped.. and since prior to that year I had wrote a little something in 6th grade I said yea. He told me he rapped as well and busted his stuff for me, once I heard it I was like damn.. this kid dOpe! I didnt ever know anyone that could rap especially at my age or even 2 years younger. Its because of him that I got into writing more raps than ever before. He taught me the bar structure and knew how to freestyle. He was practically the person who got me into doing what I do now till this day with my writing.''}
By Age 13, Alex had already entered middle school and was still into writing his own raps. Both himself and his friend Brian would hangout occasionally and mounted on to writing little songs in which they would record on portable tape players. Amongst the same point in time it was when Alex was given the name he is known as today through all his friends and also in his music.
{''I got the name ''Mouse'' from playing ball one day with both my niggas Beanz and Pimentel. Basiclly, since I str8 sucked at basketball, what I would do was as soon as I got a hold of the ball was just run around like a maniac. Back and forth, up and down, side to side, until I got the person on my defensive end too tired to chase me anymore. You see, I use to always run alot as a kid, I played alot of soccer growing up, so therefore i had madd stamina when it came to running. It was Pimental who I had worn out and he was like ''damn, this nigga fast as fuck and he loves cheese.. fukin Mighty Mouse''. I aint think nothing much of it at first, but being as I did ''love cheese'' and he threw in a attribute of mine that was concrete, I thought it was a pretty dOpe name for me, it made sense.''}
In 2001 Mouse entered high school while still maintaining the same mindstate on his writings. Though some people knew mouse rapped at the time, he wasn't making any moves with his rhyming compositions. He did start catching on how to freestyle though, something he never thought he would be able to do and always admired from his friend Brian. He started picking up on his rhythm and the way he would say his lines on point. From then, he finally figured out how to write most of rhymes on beat since he was never able to in the past.
Little by Little, mouse was sharpening up his freestyling abilitly practicing by himself or with friends. By 10th grade he began to meet several other individuals that rapped in school and different people who began forming cyphers during lunch time. It was that year for the first time where mouse would show off his rhyming skills in front of many people at once. He started making a name for himself through that and was respected by the other rappers in his school as well. Very soon from then, random people would start to know who the little chiko who called himself ''Mighty ? Mouse'' was..
When his 12th grade year came around, mouse had completed his first digital recordings, and started to get a real feel of what it was to record records. It motivated him to write more knowing that he would actually be able to bring his music to life as he would say, through the recording process. Though after only recording a few songs, he did not continue with it how he had wanted to. Due to losing contact with the people he was working with and also on his focus on graduating high school.
After graduating high school, for one year Mouse had not made any new recordings whatsoever. That was until early 2006 when he got down with the independent lable ''Slickmouth Records'' through which he would meet a best friend and rap partner ''Cruzafix''. Who unfortunately passed away due to cancer on November 21, 2006.
{''The day I met Cruz at the slickmouth tryout he showed str8 respect for my work. One of my tracks had played for everyone to listen to and by the time it was done he asked me if that was me, and I nodded my head. He told me ''tight work'', you see, he aint even have to say that to me. But that was just a display of his realness, to have enough in himself to give me props on my shyt. He was just real like that, I didnt even know him but that was a sincere respectful vibe he gave off to me. I thought he was dOpe as well, he had his own style that only he could pull off. You know what I'm saying?? The ''Cruzafix style'', it was crunk, clever and catchy. He could even rip it it up quick with that same flavor if he wanted to, and it was obvious he was one of the dOpest niggas in the slick. So even though I didnt know him much, I knew if me and him were to collaborate we was gonna drop some bomb shyt, str8 choppin' niggas up. And thats how it was once we dropped the "Mamichula'' jewel. It was like, both me and him realized that we was like unstopable when we came together. With a blend of 2 different styles at once that people weren't use to hearing before. From then on, me and Cruz just got real close and we grew to be like brothers. Soon after just working together all the tyme and coming up with hooks when we would chill, we just ended up forming our duo called ''Deadly Combohz''. Which follows up on the concept of our 2 different rap styles hitting hard together. Cruz with the crunk, amped powerfull style along with my rapid, choppy, bouncy type flow. It was about Hitting niggas with power and speed, thats what you need to knock mothafukers out, you know what I'm saying?? In Cruz's own words.. a Deadly Combination.''}
Since Cruz's passing, mouse has been trying to pick it up from where Deadly Combohz left off. By working on the same mixtape him and cruz were working on but over the past year there have been many technicalities with the recording studio and where to record as well. Now in 2008, mouse is focused on his solo work more than ever and aiming to put out strickly original material, as apose to what him and cruz were doing in the past with working on a mixtape. Yet, through his music, he remains loyal to his best friend's and partner's memory as to his views and principles.
''''Cruz believed in what I believe in. Staying true to your self as individual doing this music shyt. You see, thatz what this U.G.P. shyt is all about. Thats why you can even hear Cruz reppin' that shyt as well. And he wasnt even much underground, just that he was into REAL SHIT and not played out tunes on the radio. Many people probably do music because they may love it and all, but that dont mean they pure with it. I have alot of pride on what I stand for just like cruz did with his L.P. Nation he had planned to bring up (Latin Pryde Nation). I keep it that real, from where I came from, to what I'm about, to how I do my music with my certain style. Aint no selling out for the price of fame on this syde homie. If I do come up, I'ma be happy the way I do because its always been and will be with that, that I stand for. I'm an underground killa, thats where I come from and I'm proud of that cause thats me. I want the whole world to hear me and the shyt I bring to this music because as an individual I'm different just like anyone else, but the industry is afraid to put that out and instead recycles the same shyt over and over. Its through orignality that new doors open for other people to be inspired by what the next man did. But I'm not a copycat, so theres no way I would hit the mainstream through a commercial route, as far as doing shyt that aint me, fuck that shyt. That dont mean Murder Mouse cant make a club banger, cause fuk yea i can. I'ma diverse artist and like pac said, as that ''u gotta hit it from every side'', i just dont ''2 step'', you know what i'm saying?? Good music sells regardless, even if downloaded. Its just a matter of how you get it done and by letting your fans into your life artisticly and personaly. So they can get more familiar with the person you are, as if they really knew you and they'll be able to relate on a whole other level. Thats how you earn more fans aside from your music, by bringing them into your world! through every possible aspect. Thats the best way any listener can grow to have a greater sence of respect, identifying themselves towards you. Stay true to who you are and what you believe in and abby by that always. If you believe in that, then you U.G.P.. until then, my Latin Pryde along with Da Wicked South UNDERGROUND POUND is what I bleed.......''''

Sounds Like:
Murder Mouse's music is a blend of 3 seperate aspects he describes as his SPIT, SPUNK & FLOW.
By the ''SPIT'' he means towards his poetic value, word play and syllable rhyming; anything within his song writing that reflects lyrical showcase.
Through the ''SPUNK'' it is intuned directly from thoughts, attitude and image; as far as his topics, ideas, creativity and imagination. All being aimed through exagerated storytelling with mind-bending sadistic expression. He categorizes this as a ''psycho killa style''.
And as ''FLOW'', it embodies the sound of how his song lyrics are constructed, heard and percieved. With multiple on point rhyme patterns, having a bouncy or toung twisting rapid type feel to any track depending on it's beat and momentum.
