About Me

src="http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b7/mark41185/mark%20a nd%20bob/contact.gif">Callie Watts is a singer/songwriter from northern California who has been playing and performing solo, as well as in local and bay area bands such as Atom Zapple, Eric Lindell and the Reds, Electric Avenue, Fox Force Five, The Girlz and Savoy(Swingers) for decades as a keyboardist, guitarist, songwriter and vocalist. She has also worked in film, having written and performed the soundtrack to the indie film "Dixie Blue Summer". Callie currently fronts Phatty, the north bay's highest energy 7 piece old skool funk band, and occasionally performs with members of the San Francisco Jazz Mafia. Having opened for acts such as Elvin Bishop, Huey Lewis and the B52s, she continues to perform frequently. Her goal as an artist is to keep diversity in all musical projects while focusing on developing a core audience and a buzz for her original material. Come hang out with Callie and listen at venues such as The Sweet Spot and Stout Brothers Pub in downtown Santa Rosa, and keep a lookout- her acoustic album "Bits and Peaces" is in the process of being produced and re-recorded to include a full band of stellar musicians, as well as piano-based songs not yet recorded. In the meantime, Callie has recently signed to the zoomoozic.com record label, and you can now purchase the acoustic tracks from the zoomoozic.com website, as well as ringtones! The tracks are also for sale through the Snocap store just above.

The songs are eclectic, but they all focus on groove, chord arrangement, melody and lyrics that meld to create a "mood" that varies from piece to piece. She strives to write little masterpieces- songs that are emotionally provoking and musically moving.
