Dj Rossa

Wieteke (Dj Rossa) was born in 1977 and grew up in Zeeland, the south-west of The Netherlands. In her childhood she was already into music. She collected many albums and listened to different kinds of artists. Later on, in the ninetees, she got really interested in the sound of housemusic. The musicstyle she developped is to be described as funky, soulfull deephouse combined with some techhouse and funky techno. Driven by different influences of music through all years. She gets inspired by producers and dj's like Carl Craig, Derrick May, Olav Basoski, Dimitri, Kenny Larkin, Erick E, Tony Thomas, Martin Solveig and Phil Weeks, etc. Dj Rossa has been playing her sets at parties like Chemistry, Lunapark and Club Risk, along with names as Benny Rodrigues, Erick E, Angelo, and Ken Ishii and many more. She's got a residency at Kashmir Lounge in Amsterdam, starting from 2002. To learn more about music and producing, she obtained a course of Audio Producing in 2003. In 2004 Dj Rossa started with the Bachelor course of Communication Media and Music. She's been very busy working on that and she will be finishing in 2008. Presently she is focussed on producing some tracks. a
