About Me

Stacy Nelson on IMDB:
I hate the whole aspect of Hollywood, red carpet, and I want to be famous so I can act with Brad Pitt crap. Seriously. People take it over board on trying to be famous. I hate it. I noticed before I started acting, I was concerned. Concerned that I wouldn't make it because I am not "PERFECT" as in, perfect hair, perfect skin, perfect body, perfect teeth, etc. I was scared to step out in front of a camera because people would see the things that are wrong with me.
It seems like Hollywood paints this image that you are supposed to be. The only way to make it is to abide by Hollywood rules. But then I noticed more and more actors and actresses coming up that had qualities that made them "them". I have qualities that make me "me". I do what I love because I love it. I love to act, I love to write, I love everything about the movie business. So I guess that means I should be an actress and filmmaker.
I don't want to be famous, I just want to do what I love. I don't want to be followed by paparazzi when I am shopping and not have a life. I don't need it, I don't want it. I don't hang with the "IN" crowd of actors and actresses. I don't suck up to other filmmakers so they can cast me in their future projects. If they are interested in me they will contact me, if they aren't well I guess I don't fit the project.
I like to act in the things I write because I know what types of roles I want to do. I don't see anything wrong with that. I went to acting school to learn more about the industry. Well, I didn't really learn that as much as I thought I would. More than half the stuff I already knew. One teacher did tell me in my second semester the best piece of information I ever learned. This teacher said, you don't need a degree to act. It is who you know and who you network with. Many actors and actresses know what they know because of their agents, acting coaches, or being on the set hands on and learning. So needless to say It was a waste of my damn money to go to acting school. Go figure.
I am working in 3 Feature Independent Films and 3 short films. I email my resume upon request. Oh yeah, I go by Stacy, or Stace, or Nelson, or whatever. I am from a Hispanic background, but get this, I don't really know Spanish cause my parents don't speak it much. Another go figure. I am trying to learn though.

My imput on Short Films and Big Headed Actors

Okay so I noticed that quiet a bit of Actors and Actresses like to skip over short films and try and head straight to feature films.  A little advise, sometimes a short 5 minute film wins more aw...
