Adam Parker A.K.A Funky P! Here to Promote myself as a DJ! been mixing for about 8 years now! Purchased my first pair of turntables as soon as I had enough money to do so! Started off mixing tracks I enjoyed listening to such as, Fatboy Slim 'Right here Right now' and Prodigy 'Fire'. It wasn't too long before I realized I was gonna have to dedicate myself to one type of Music, if I was to ever become a club DJ, rather than allsorts which had always been the case!
I then moved on to Mix UK Garage as it was what appealed to me most at the time! After mixing UK Garage for quite sometime, it started to loose that Oldskool vibe and at the same time started to become to Heavy for my liking! I wasn't feeling the new sound, I felt lost! and so decided to give the mixing a break! Not too long after I could see that 'Funky House' was taking over the Club scene and so started to build up my Funky House collection! Although I enjoyed listening to Funky House and still do! I found it a little boring to Mix and so did not seem to Enjoy it quite as much!
One day while searching for Funky House records on the Web! I stumbled by a Drum n Bass track by Logistics named 'Blackout'! It was the Front cover that appealed to me and so I listening to the track! I fell in love on the spot and thought 'I gotta have that tune!' When it arrived there was a flyer inside for an Event called Hospitality at Heaven, The Arches, Embankment, London! I went to the Event and have been addicted to mixing Liquid Drum n Bass ever since! That was in May 2006 and as they say, the rest, it's History!
