About Me

Born in Prague, Czechoslovakia. Emigrated to Israel in 1968 with parents, following Soviet occupation. Cut my teeth on various blues bands in Tel Aviv, studied classical guitar. Continued classical studies at the Guildhall School of Music in London, England in the late 70's. Got a Master's Degree in Linguistics and English at the University of Essex. Moved to Canada in 1980 but spent a five year interlude (1990 - 1995) in Reykjavik, Iceland. Charted with a 5 hit in Iceland in 1992 and played in Red House, the most popular blues band in the country. Also taught English. Came back to T.O. in 1995 and have been playing jazz professionally since. Also composing, producing, recording, singing and in my spare time (hehehe) working for New Vision, the Czech cable TV show in Toronto and Montreal. Able to support myself as a musician which - apart from my beautiful daughters - I count as the greatest blessing and accomplishment. Next step: more composing and concentration on producing original music.
