Urban exploring complete with camera in hand! Old buildings and social history. RMM (reading, music, movies). Exploring other cultures and cuisine. Hanging out on the shore and enjoying the ocean...not a beach bum, but just an ocean lover (there is a difference). Arts/crafts, needlework. Just having fun!
I'd like to meet some nice, down-to-earth, fun-loving, intelligent, socially aware people. I enjoy good conversation and love to laugh, so funny jokes are always welcome...I said, funny, not stupid...funny. Truely, I am one of those people who are "color-blind", and have friends of all ethnicities, but I am specifically attracted to men of color and would love to meet some good, honest guys to talk to. I would especially like to talk to Bostonians or other New Englanders. I am hoping to move to Boston or the surrounding burbs by this time next year. I do get up to Massachusetts quite often, as my oldest child lives there in her funky little apartment. I love it up there, especially in the summer and fall. Of course, I am not looking forward to the snow, been stuck in 3 feet of it, but it sure beats the heat of Florida. This is an awesome description of Boston---the way I see it and why I want to live there!Boston is Louisa May Alcott and Henry James, ice-skating on the frog pond, the Ether Memorial in the Public Garden, strolling past somber rows of townhouses on Commonwealth Avenue and Marlborough Street, Friday afternoons at Symphony, the exquisite charm of the Isabella Stewart Gardner museum, the scent of woodsmoke on a winter evening on Beacon Hill, seeing the spires and towers of Back Bay from the paths on Boston Common, colonial churches and burial grounds along busy downtown streets, cannoli and capuccino at the cafes on Hanover Street, lying on the grass as the sun sets over the beautiful Charles River basin, lavender-tinted window panes on Beacon Street, the graceful squares and brick bowfront houses in the South End, murals and monuments above the great staircase of the Boston Public Library, weekend open-air markets and cellar butchers on Blackstone Street, a hundred different lectures, concerts, openings, and other events to attend every week, a shoppers paradise, a huge bar and pub scene, wonderful parks, hikes, coastal towns and beaches to explore in the vicinity...
