About Me
Joshua, 18, is the second son of six boys born into an artistically gifted family. After opening for Lil’ Romeo at the age of 12, winning several local talent shows, and performing an awe-inspiring saxophone rendition of Purple Rain at the city idol contest, Joshua, at the age of 15, caught the attention of music executive, David Sonnenberg of DAS Management (The Fugees, Black Eyed Peas, Fergie, John Legend); and was signed with Sony/Columbia/DAS record label to become a part of an up and coming group, Fatty Koo. With this opportunity came a 13 series hit reality television show on BET, Blowin’ Up Fatty Koo, 2005, appearances on Soul Train and BET’s 106 & Park, two nationwide promo-tours, several appearances in magazines such as Billboard, Blender, and Vibe, and a red carpet appearance at the 2005 BET Awards and what would be the beginning of a profound fan base. A natural entertainer, Joshua draws his musical and creative dancing influences from the great legends: James Brown, Fred Astaire, Michael Jackson, Prince, Stevie Wonder and Marvin Gaye. His love for praise and worship and gospel introduced him to expressive Christian artists such as Commissioned, Israel Houghton, J. Moss and Kim Burrell. Joshua's many talents include a soaring, soulful vocal range, swift and precise dance moves, sophisticated songwriting, piano prowess and a keen ear for music production. His amazing skills for making his sizzling saxophone sing will make even the truest hip-hop artist go jazz. Joshua is committed to the highest level of excellence, his morals and upbringing, and silently promotes this by the symbolic wearing of a combination lock on his pants. "I am extremely thankful for being in the business of selling records and changing lives through the gifts and talents of which God has blessed me.†This is Joshua. BOUNCE VIDEO
