About Me

Chris, drummer and (sometimes) lead vocalist for Re-Creation, decided to put a dedication page up for Blugdeon. Chris was the lead vocalist for Bludgeon, circa 1993/1994.
Let it be said that Bludgeon recorded some killer tracks, got the artwork ready as their CD was recorded, but alas, they broke up just before the CD "Think Tank" got released, thus rendering the it unknown for all time .... to all but a handful. Therefore, these tracks are rare, super rare.
Bludgeon first released a 5-song cassette entitled, To the Head, as a 5 piece act, with their original vocalist Jim Rajack back in 1992. Then, when Chris Grennon was in a band called Point Blank in 1993, Bludgeon opened up for them at Saratoga Winners---Bludgeon had their original vocalist Jim from "To the Head," and they'd been around for over a year as this line up---and man o man, did they gush energy from the stage. Anyhow, as a little time passed, Point Blank broke up right when Roadrunner Records was interested in signing them, and the next day Chris Grennon had a phone call from one called Nuzzy, whom asked Chris to join Bludgeon; Chris said yes without even thinking!!!
When Chris joined up, the chemistry was instantaneous. Bludgeon remained a 5 piece band up until about 4 months after Chris joined, whereupon the guitarist Jay Taft left the band, and the 4-piece line-up-of-power came into being that is heard on Think Tank, their 2nd recording,---what you hear here.
A BIT ABOUT EARLIER BLUDGEON, BEFORE CHRIS/RE-CREATION:
In 1991 - Bludgeon came into being when Brian Looby (original bassist) was jamming with a drummer named Bob Morrison, and Jim Rajack singing. After a failed guitar player wasn't showing up, Joe Bockis entered the line up. Brian Looby knew Joe from high school and they worked together at Sealy. Things worked out with Joe and after a couple months Jay Taft, who Joe and Brian both were friends with, was interested in joining. Shortly after Jay joined the band (and came up with the name Bludgeon), Bob Morrison was replaced with Chris "Nuzzy" Nusbaum.
During the winter and spring of 1992, the original Bludgeon was set. In June of the same year, Brian Looby moved to Atlanta. After he left, Chuck temporarily became the bass player before Scott Talmon came home from Berkley College of Music and joined the band. Then this is the line up that led into the final one on Think Tank, when Chris/Re-Creation replaced Jim Rakack on vocals in late 1993.THIS BIO WILL BE UPDATED DAY BY DAY.
ENJOY!
