BLACK IS is a Los Angeles-based website/e-magazine that provides a promotional platform for black artists and entrepreneurs overlooked or underrepresented in mainstream media. We are increasing the amount of black artistry and business that is both seen and heard.
BLACK IS showcases the wide range of art, music, businesses, opinions, and ideas crafted by Black American people and expands how the culture and community is perceived by others.
In addition, BLACK IS also provides a platform for members of the Black community to discuss the issues that affect us. While our immediate focus is the Southern California region, we hope to build a sense of community and collectivity between Black people throughout the United States.
