About Me

Shit, where do I begin??? Well, we started out playing around 1993 with Matt on drums, Danny on guitar, John on bass, Todd on guitar, and Jessica on vocals. After about 3 practices, everyone was sick of driving an hour to pick up Matt for practice, so we got our friend Dave (Snapper) who was also in such bands as Pecker Tracks and Weapon X, to play drums. It seemed to go pretty well with this lineup. We were definately the only band of our style in the area. Everything else was grindcore, crusty, p.c. shit. We were pretty much hated by the local scene right from the start! But we did open for SNFU with this line up! That was hella-cool!!I really don't remember when but, Jessica either quit or we booted her for whatever reason. We continued to play a few shows with Todd on vocals and Snapper on drums. Snapper ended up missing a bunch of practices and fucking up at shows due to drinking, so we booted him and got Tim to play drums. We all looked up to Tim and thought he was really cool cause he was older and had been in a bunch of cool bands like Boiling Point, Born without a Face, Grudge Match, and Holy Terror. He really seemed to be into what we were doing too so that was cool. He added a totally different feel and helped to tighten up our sound a bunch. We recorded our first demo tape called 616 RUMBLE and played a few shows over about a year or so. The problem was that we were younger, we all liked to drink and Tim didn't, and we seemed to annoy him a bunch, so he left on good terms. After Tim left, I think Matt was old enough to drive so he could make it to practice, so he started playing with us again. He had also gotten a lot better and it sounded really good. We played a few shows and then went to record again at Stockbridge studios in Grand Rapids. From this recording session came the Punk Crock 7" and the Working Class 7". We played a bunch to promote the punk Crock 7" and we were asked by Beat Hotel in Detroit to put out the Working Class 7" through them. I think they pressed about 2000 or so. We went on a 2 week tour that we were booked to play 14 shows but only ended up playing 3!!! There were a lot of well intentioned people booking the shows but they just didn't know what the hell they were doing. It was a 2 week series of dissapointment after dissapointment. We continued to play around the midwest for a while, but then Danny joined the army and went to Germany. So John, Matt and Todd went on playing shows and even recorded a bunch of new songs that have never been released. We never officially broke up, it was more like it just dissolved. However, Danny, Matt and Todd jammed a few Krabs songs at a party this summer so who knows what will happen!!mspmb allowScriptAccess="never" src="http://lads.myspace.com/slides/slideshow_random.swf?u=1 9689302" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="426"
