About Me

Young, sexy, vibrant, eccentric – these are just a few words that describe the highly talented actor/dancer/model EVANS JOHNSON. Starring in her first theatrical play "THE NUTCRACKER", Evans Johnson fell deeply in love with the stage at the age of thirteen. This came as no surprise to her family who watched her dance and perform on stage from the age of three on. Evans Johnson’s love for performing did not stop at the stage. In 2002, Evans Johnson landed her first major speaking role in the motion picture "HONEY" (starring Jessica Alba and Meikhi Phifer) as one of Honey’s friends. Prior to and after "HONEY", Evans Johnson worked on several independent films, an industrial film for Jackson-Hewitt Insurance and commercials for DEVRY, PONTIAC, ROAD RUNNER and ADIDAS. In 2006, Evans Johnson completed some of her best work yet, appearing in the movie "MOLLY" (starring Molly Ringwald) as a Jitterbug Dancer, the CBC’s "AIR FARCE" as a sexy hip hop dancer, the 2006 Reel World Film Festival as a correspondent, and she conducted HC Entertainment artist George Nozuka’s first interview on the set of his music video "TALK TO ME". Following her recurring role on the hit TV series "‘DA KINK IN MY HAIR" as the trifling baby momma Eva, Evans Johnson recently landed a role in the short film "MORTIMER" starring Carlo Rota, completed shooting commercials for ALEVE and GARDASIL and can be seen this fall opening the 2008 International Aids Conference in Mexico in the film "THE WOMAN I HAVE BECOME". When I’m not busy doing the above I’m working hard on my charity that will launch this August called HUGS & HAND ME DOWNS. Hugs & Hand Me Downs is a two-part charity designed to aid the homeless during the winter and the youth of Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area throughout the year.PART 1: HUGS- During the cold bitter winter nights Hugs & Hand Me Downs will walk the streets of downtown Toronto and handout blankets to the homeless.PART 2: HAND ME DOWNS- Hugs & Hand Me Downs will give away new and used clothes to youth that come from families (particularly single parent families) that find it difficult to go back to school shopping as well as Christmas shopping.
