YES, THIS USED TO BE THE PROFILE PAGE FOR FESTIVAL OF THE DEAD BRISBANE - IT IS NOW TRANSFORMING INTO:
FLIGHT OF THE DEMONCLEANER BRISBANE. (we chose that as the acronym is still the same)
It will be a page dedicated to mainly Australian, and in particular Brisbane based doom and stoner rock - and close variations thereto (of course we will befriend our fellow sludegmasters OS as the genre needs all the support it can get). Plus there will from time to time be international tours which we would like to get behind). For fans, bands, promoters, bookers, publicists - even stockists... whoever - so long as it's to do with doom/stoner/riff-rock. So Standby for sludge and greenery inspired riffery.
Why the change? Ward 69 PR are not working with the principal promoter for the Fest of the Dead in Sydney any longer. So we thought why waste the profile and friends we have made. So we decided to put the efforts into a genre that deserves some support, We have noticed a slow and subtle rising interest once again in this awesome and powerful music. Possibly it's the the slow move away from the generic forms of extreme music, which have become far less alternative and 'rebellious' than perhaps intended. So toke up, and get the fatness into you! This may very well be the alternative to alternative. Please bare with us as we build this profile up - fair ways to go yet - but stay tuned rockers!If all goes well and the concept is sufficiently supported, we'll organise some cool gigs, perhaps a festival.
