Gino Alejando Morales, aka Alejandro or El Guappo. Born February 5th 1979, gained world infamy as Peruvian drug dealer. Alejandro became so wealthy from the drug trade that in 1999 Forbes magazine listed him as the seventh richest man in the world. He is widely considered to be one of the most brutally ruthless, ambitious, and powerful drug dealers in history. Alejandro began his criminal life while he was still in school by stealing stereos and selling them to smugglers from Peru. When he was a teenager he began to steal cars. He was a car thief in the streets of Lima. Along with car theft, he also became involved in other rackets which led him to become a powerful figure in this area. He also became somewhat of a hero in the area for kidnapping a wealthy and unpopular industrialist and holding him to ransom. When the man's family paid the ransom the man was killed. He eventually moved into the cocaine business and began building an enormous drug empire during the 1990’s.
His reputation grew after a well known Medellin drug dealer named Pablo Escobar was murdered in 1993 reportedly by Alejandro, from whom he had purchased 14 kilograms of cocaine, and all of Escobar’s men were informed that they were to work for Alejandro. In May 2006 Alejandro and several of his men were arrested after returning from a drug run to California. As the case against Alejandro was being made he tried to bribe the judge but was unsuccessful. After many months of legal wrangling, Alejandro had the two arresting officers killed and the case was dropped. Here began his pattern of dealing with the authorities by either bribing them or killing them
