Nach diversen Projekten und Bands - von Coverband über
Rock, Jazzfunk, Bigband unter anderen - widme ich mich
derzeit ausschließlich meinem Solo-Spiel. Nach einer klassischen
Ausbildung am Klavier entschied ich mich mit 16, dass die Gitarre
irgendwie cooler ist, wie das wohl bei vielen ist.
Es folgte eine studienvorbereitende Ausbildung in Jazz-Gitarre
und Jazz-Klavier. Irgendwie musste ich aber feststellen, dass
meine Wurzeln doch eher im Rockbereich liegen und mein Stil
weder der Jazz- noch der Klassikgitarre nahe kommt. Ich bediene
mich aber fleissig ganz verschiedener Elemente aus allen möglichen
musikalischen Bereichen. Irgendwann entdeckte ich dann die
Akustikgitarre für mich.
Ich arbeite derzeit an einer CD, die hoffentlich bald fertig wird.
After playing in all kinds of different bands - such as coverbands,
rockbands, jazzfunk and bigbands amongst others - I am concentrating
on my solo project right now. After having taken classical piano lessons
for 11 years I decided at the age of 16 that guitar is somewhat the
cooler instrument - as many do at that age. College-preparation classes
in jazz-guitar and piano were the consequence. But then I found out
that neither classical nor jazz guitar really fit what I was looking for
in music since my roots at the time really were rockmusic. Anyway,
since then I "steal" elements from all kinds of musical areas to find
my own style. It's a very enriching journey.
At some point I discovered the acoustic guitar for myself.
At the moment I work on new recordings for a CD that will hopefully
appear soon.
