Anne Kaftan, a student of Charlie Mariano, plays both the soprano saxophone and the bass clarinet. She is a member of different ensembles reaching from classical to jazz, world and experimental pop music. She also composes for theatre, film and radio productions.
After a busy year of recordings the album entitled Im Fluss der Zeit featuring her German trio El Puente has been released in December 2006.
It has quickly been followed by the releases of
Sascha Ley’s album Travelling Light in January 2007 and
Bobo’s album Lieder von Liebe und Tod in May 2007
