Add to My Profile | More VideosWell, where do you start with something like this? lolI was involved in music from an early age, playing bass for various bands around Liverpool from before I left school (a good excuse for not doing any homework !). I gradually progressed into local session work and eventually ended up settling down with a band and being 'pursuaded' to hang up the bass and take on a singing role (after many studio sessions of singing backing vocals!). After a couple of tours in the USA, I switched again to another UK band and continued for another couple of years, finally releasing a CD that went top 10 in Japan !I've played in many bands over the years both session (bass mostly) and singing. Over the years I've opened for lots of bands (mostly USA based) including Kansas, Starship, The Storm (with ex-members of Santana & Journey), Peter Frampton, Magnum, Cheap Trick, Quiet Riot, among many others. I've also played at lots of the major UK city venues. Although I spent some years singing, my first love is bass and is now my main focus, although I do dabble with lots of different instruments including keys, guitar, sax, and anything else I can get my hands on !!!Soon after my last album, my life took another strange turn of events due to unforseen circumstances, and I eventually went on to earn money in many different areas including property development, computers, and working as a Scuba Diving Instructor!Now, after 10 years out of the business, I've decided to get back to my first love of BASS playing, and refurbed my vintage Ibanez Musician bass circa 1978!I'm now getting my chops together and looking for a new project. I've been involved with many different styles from dance/groove/funk/rock/jazz/classical and others. My CD collection is one of the most mis-mashed collections I've ever seen in my life, but hey, variety is the spice of life , and if it's good, I'll listen whatever people label it as.As I get my playing back together, I'll try to get some vids or songs onto my profile, but be warned! If you're into one style of music only, then you might not like everything you hear although my first love is the funk/groove/dance/acid jazz path.I do dabble with the guitar/keys/sax/ among other things, but I'd only ever confess to being able to play BASS !!! ..and not every song I write will have a monster bass line, after all, it's the song that matters at the end of the day !!!My dream band - Jamiroquai of course !!! Who else !!! If Jim'll Fix It was still going, I'd be writing in so he could fix it for me, but hey, I guess there'll be a long line of people queuing up for the chance of playing for JK if the job ever came up !!! lolNeedless to say, I'm after work in whatever shape or form.
