About Me

Hello. My name is Liam Dailey. I like to write songs, and I like you to listen to them, because sometimes I think they're pretty good. Other times I don't, but that's none of your business. I've been playing guitar and banjo since I was nine (which adds up to about eight years), and I've picked up other things along the way. I am currently in a band called The Glass Jars with whom I've just released an album (below). I'll play anywhere with anyone. Your couch?
Cheers! If you would like a physical copy of any of the cds listed below mailed to you, just send me a message or email me (liam [at] liamdailey [dot] com)Download Girl Of All NamesDownload Philbert's Theory for freeDownload Spilling Red Wine Down Dresses EP for free

Sounds Like: And I strolled there every Saturday
drank my coffee
and filled the places where love should have been
with glorious stories
stories of places far beyond the furrows of her brow
far beyond the cling and clatter of a factory job
and she was from the suburbs
a true child of the city
raised in bright lights and gutters
and I
I strolled through grassy fields at will
her city of slums my Paris
the very pinnacle of the arts
and yet
in the stories we were both the same
strangers
looking in together
as we often looked in at each other
with confusion
grasping violently at tiny wisps of thought
and treading delicately upon hurricanes
always topsy turvy of each other
we looked each other in the eye
but my feet were planted firmly on the ceiling
while hers were levelly on the floor
our minds painting portraits in the tiles as some do in the clouds
looking for our future
and finding only our pasts
always starring back at us
one far too good to be thankful for
and the other too desperate to be acknowledged
juxtaposing good and evil not as enemies but as two halves of a whole
split infinities tearing our crumbling Saturday mornings into forgotten pieces of destiny
