EROTOTOX DECODINGS

About Me

Upon disgust and out of disdain of the unaccepting record labels of this day and age, we bring you EROTOTOX DECODINGS: A label for musicians by musicians. Unlike the conventions of most labels run by "suits", who often have nothing to do with music theirselves, EROTOTOX DECODINGS strives to free musicians from the human bondage and suffering rendered by most labels. Offering a boutique, micro label, with artists interested in the subconscious, surreal, magickal, nonsensical, absurd, shocking, minimal, and often explicit sexual overtones implicated by music and the cultures associated with it thereof. The phrasing EROTOTOX DECODINGS, references 'erototoxins' which according to Dr. Judith A. Reisman: "are chemicals in the brain produced by watching pornography and have toxic influences on the brain". From our experiences we have encountered these alleged 'erototoxins' in the process of deciphering, or 'decoding' if you will information that is transmitted to the brain from unconscious, abstract, and sublime encounters and interactions. This directly referencing the types of situations that occur between the listener and the sounds or audio created by the label's artists. 'Decoding' the 'erototoxins', as if exposing the troubled and often 'chemically' victimized cratures we truly are as we constantly attempt to "go back" to the spaces occupied by our nightmarishly, surreal jukeboxes in our heads known as: 'brains'.
