O.k., just for the sake of namedropping a band that otherwise would spent the rest of its nonexistence without ever being namedropped, let`s start this short band- bio from the very beginning. In the final years of last century`s last decade there was a band treating its practice room in Bremen more like a prison cell than anything else. Its name was LAUDANUM, with OB (ex A.S.E.) on bass and Gringo (ex LOS WOCHOS) on guitar. Plans to shift the music more into the Crust (or whatever you wanna call it) area finally let to the band`s disintegration and the release from custody was in early 2000.
The period in which we tried to find like-minded fools to form a new band ended later that year when Gringo stumbled upon Frank (a.k.a. Affenmann), who just left HOLZWERKSTATT and started to play drums. Getting him into the band meant having a great new practice room as well. A few weeks later at one of these chaotic booze-nights in Bremen - Vegesack I met Patrick again, a friend from Osnabrück, I haven`t seen for a long time. Feeling somewhat stranded without his lifetask of shouting and drinking on stage as WORLD CHAOS had split up a while ago, he didn`t hesitate to join us. So the OsnaBrem-Crust-Experience WARSYSTEM was born.
The way of how the music should sound like was pretty clear from the start, but the first results were not really convincing. Overwhelming is something else. Shit, we needed to practice (and we still do). Gradually the sound got better, we played some shows I can hardly remember (thanx to all who put up with us!), but there was still something missing : the 2nd guitar. During four years (wow, are we that lazy?!) several friends ( hello to Edzard, Uli, Nils) came and went, it just didn`t work. So in April '04 we recorded the first EP in Berlin with one guitar playing everything thrice (Möta+Basti : thanx for your patience!).
In all these years full of ups (drunk) and downs (sober) the band`s name proved to be a permanent headache. The longer we got on with it, the more obvious it became that WARSYSTEM was too much connected with some other bands, stupid computer games and what have you. It was worn out. Lamebrained as we are, we couldn't think of anything else. But then, frustration ended with a bang! Patrick came up with PROFIT AND MURDER, the 7" was under way and Jeske (TOTMANNSCHALTUNG), now new on guitar, decided not(!) to leave after a few rehearsals, adding to the band`s fragrance a nice touch of death metal.
This was a year ago. With much help from Wahnfried, Roy and Patrick K. the record is now released, we`re ready to rock, drink and fall over. You mail - we play.OB 9/05
6/07 : let`s go for some important news!
since Jeske has left the band recently, we decided to haul another misanthropic troglodyte into the P+M boat... and it`s the almighty : TERROR!
all of you know him from the famous A.O.B. and nowadays he also tortures his guitar in HELLHAAK, chaospunk from the gutter of bremen. right after the first session it all seems to work out right, so let`s see what happens.
we still cling to the dream that our new record will be released in a couple of months and there definitely will be a tour (to promote it...) in the last weeks of summer! so stay tuned to this station.

10/07 : back from tour !
this wasn't much of a promo-tour as the fucking record is still in the making, but : wow - it was incredible! so much fun, so much friendship, so many new impressions,...so much beer...! we bow down to all of you who made this trip possible. (sob)
