Yuma Jazz Company

About Me

The Yuma Jazz Company was originally formed for a concert series at St. Paul's Cultural Center in 2002. The group moved on from there to present several successful concert series and perform at many public and private events (see "Past Events" on our Events page). Shades After Dark, the quintet's debut album, was recorded in November of 2004, and has been reviewed positively by national publications and aired extensively on KAWC FM and KYMA TV. The YJC quintet continues to thoroughly enjoy playing together. This is due in part to the personalities of the musicians as well as the group's ability to keep its music fresh by maintaining an improvisation-centered philosophy while keeping performances audience friendly. The Yuma Jazz Company has been performing in SW Arizona since the summer of 2002. We have had the opportunity to provide entertainment and background music for a wide variety of events sponsored by organizations such as: Arizona Community Foundation, Arizona Western College, Bureau Of Land Management, Cultural Council Of Yuma, City Of Yuma, Heritage Festivals, Yuma Art Center, Yuma Convention And Visitors Bureau, Yuma Catholic High School, Yuma County Health Department, Yuma Regional Medical Center, University Of Phoenix.
