STATUS UPDATE:
September 2009
Secret Love passed the Panama Canal on 29th August and now floats in Pacific waters!
A Crusty Crewed trip is coming to a close and the boat will be out for some routine maintenance in the next weeks. However, don't hesitate to contact Skipper Beule for booking some charter trips. Beule is good at finding waves in these parts, just see the photo below!
September through the winter should be excellent for exploring some remote isolated reefs and beaches on the western coast of Panama, Costa Rica, and Nicaragua. For anyone who is interested in hopping on board for a short term surf exploration, you can reach Skipper Beule or Jason through their facebook sites at:
Beule's Profile when in Latin America
Jason's Profile when in Europe
Late August will see a Crusty Crew reunion but at the moment, this is what's up w everyone and why the whole crew isn't on board...
Tony: working in Oz (and surfing/skating his brains out) between trips to Indo
Beule: Tidying up the Secret Love, lurking somewhere around Bocas del Toro
Jason: Stuck in the cold flat land locked region of Germany called Münsterland :-P
Kyle: Working in California between weekend trips to the coast...

The CRUSTY CREW was formed in December 2006 on the Liza while docked in a harbor on a tiny desert island in the Canaries...
Having met super friendly Irish family of the Khepri (Declan, Kenga, Saoirse, and Donnacha), some of our neighbors in the harbor, they wrote and performed a song for us at one of our makeshift bbq/campfire/freestyle sessions... it goes like this:
GRACIOSA
Chorus
Oh Graciosa,
Graci, Graci, Graci, Graciosa
Oh Graciosa
Graci, Graci, Graci, Graciosa
1
Well we came to Gracioca on December first
The sun was shininin, we had a terrible thirst
The marina was full, we had nowhere to go
Till a Dutchman got too hot and went looking for snow
We pulled Khepri in, everything was fine
Until the wind got too strong and we turned her around
There was Frenchies, Frenchies everywhere,
Oh mon Dieu, oh merd
We sent Donnacha off as our ambassador
Hopin to find what's happening here
He met Alex, Kenga, Jules & Boiler
Tony, Jason and the Lady Governor
Chorus
2
We still don't know Alex's nationality
Spanish, French or from Wales by the sea
Hungary, Romania or Transylvania
These are the choices you have with Kenga
Only Fools & Horse and Father Ted
DVDs to wreck your head
Kenga teachin Saoirse out in the cockpit
Sure beats school by a long bit
Debbie & Alex playin the fiddle
I don't know it's all a riddle
You should come to Ireland for a bit of crack
And you'd never know, you might never come back
Chorus
3
There's Liza the Albin Vega and her crusty crew
Boiler, Tony & Govi too
They are surfin dudes who don't give a damn
All they say is "what's happening man?"
Govi's now smokin, she's smokin the dudeen
She's gettin in training for sitting on the donkey
We're goin to do a collection for the crusty boat
A spoon and a toothbrush is what they need most
Soon they'll be off to Tahiti
For the sun and the surf and a swim in the sea
But wherever they go, we hope to see them again
We'll be waiting to hear, "what's happening man?"
Chorus
4
Thank ye lads for a great oul time
We had a hell of a time making up this rhyme
The sea is calling, we have to move
Stay cool, stay in the groove
We're trying to get them to record it so we can host it here on the site! In the mean time, lookout for some new music in the near future, as well as the highly anticipated "Atlantic Crossing" video coming soon! In the meantime check some of the songs Tony recorded while at sea on his Mr.Tonx profile....
