these are a few of my favorite things.... reading, writing, not so much arithmetic, alligator pears!!! (i.e., haas avocados), living in latitudes where you can see/feel the seasons change, traveling, bitch mag, crossing things off of my perpetual "to-do" list, sharon's sorbet (lemon and/or passionfruit), family and friends, cafe cubano, my cats (dispersed though they may be), deepening my understanding of the intersectionality of identity/identities, making/shaking/breaking down to music of various shapes/sounds/sizes, social justice advocacy and activism, clever turns of phrase, the beach, rockin' the casio with mrtn on gee-tar, tv shows dealing with medical mysteries/serial killers/petty civil court cases, (pop) "cultural studies," blog lurking, (top-shelf) bourbon and/or whiskey, gender theory, contemporary happenings in politics/policy (i.e., hating on W), dreaming up craft projects i will never have the time to start (let alone finish), procrastination, la comida tex-mex, righteous babes and boys alike, 1950's containment-culture kitsch, (alliteration and other cheap literary tricks), giraffes and elephants, feminist jurisprudence, using school as a means by which to avoid the "real world" for as long as possible, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera...
