About Me

I suppose the best way to describe myself is through a list of things I love. Ahem: Jesus and My husband. Summer storms when the sun suddenly disappears and the unsuspecting populus is drenched for about 10 minutes. Paintings that make me stop and wonder what the artist was wearing when they painted it. Siamese cats. John and Lisa Bevere. Curling up on my couch to read with the windows open. Music that causes my hips to move without my noticing. Black orchids. The smell of Calvin Klein's Euphoria. Fancy dresses worn at inappropriate times. My favorite historical periods are Revolutionary America and World War Two, Ancient Mesopotamia and Greece. With that, history in general...not the textbook kind, the personal kind, and therefore: hearing old people tell stories from their childhood. High heels. Pearls. Emerald cut diamonds. Key West. Thinking about the things that are ahead. To be frank, I was a manipulative, self centered glutton for punishment who was remade into a new thing and have since begun to build a new person while still retaining the things that are so characteristically me: sharp wit, unnecessary intellectualism, and a lot of black clothes. My Goals: Suffice it to say, when my grandchildren sit around me and ask what I did during this war of a time in history, I don't want to have to say I shoveled shit in Louisiana. Thank you, Patton. My Interests

trying not to disappoint god. owning movies that i loved when i saw them but will never watch again because they are i8too depressing, that one day a year where it isnt really summer and it isnt really fall, its just nice outside. riding in a car with the heat on and the windows down. being over dressed wherever i go. meeting lovely people. being a good wife. my cat. clothes so ridiculously over priced that i will feel a small but ignorable twinge of guilt every time i buy one and think about starving children in ethiopia. saving the world. destroying the two party system as it exists and turning it into the two pary system of libertarians vs. republicans wherein every election we all just get together and have a big party cause deep down they're really the same, minus a few civil right issues. converting liberals.

I'd like to meet:

Napoleon, Winston Churchill, Elizabeth I, Samson, Ivan the Terrible (I'd like to tickle him, actually), Ayn Rand, Bathsheba, and whomever that Provers 31 woman is so I can tell her how intimidating she can be. And of course, Ronald Reagan. And General Patton.
