About Me
This MySpace site established May 30th, 2007
Hello! Welcome to my site, dedicated to Godzilla, The King of the Monsters!
About my name, GojiRose . . . Goji is a nickname for Godzilla
(from the Japanese spelling, "Gojira") and Rose is my nickname.
Yes, I'm one of the rare Godzilla collectors who is a lady.
I've loved Godzilla (and dragons and dinosaurs!) since I was little.
I've been collecting Godzilla figures and models for the past 8 years now.
I decided to have some fun and create this webpage, and share my passion with friends and family.
This MySpace will constantly be changing, as my "real world" time allows me computer time!
My collection of Godzilla
figures, models and other items will be featured here.
This page will be primarily Godzilla,
but you will also see dragons here and there.
Please also check my blog section for more
collectibles and information, I'll post more pictures there
to keep the main page easier to load.
I am always looking forward to meeting other Godzilla
enthusiasts! Please feel free to add me as a friend if you enjoy all things Godzilla.
Born in the Year of the Dragon
My very first attempt at building up a Godzilla model,
and it received a bronze (third place) ribbon at G-Fest X!
I was very excited that I won anything, lol.
This model is a Kaiyodo Godzilla 1962 (from King Kong vs. Godzilla),
sculpted by Yuji Sakai.
Glass cabinet (picture updated July 2008) with a part of my current collection,
a few models and figures from Marmit, M1 and Bandai are on display.
Marmit Godzilla 1955
There are very few figures of the Godzilla 1955 suit,
Marmit's version here is an outstanding one. I'm not
sure if the camera picks up all the details - the figure
is molded from clear vinyl, embedded with silver glitter,
painted (on the inside) with black,
then sprayed with white highlights.
The figure is a reference to when Godzilla becomes
trapped in the ice & snow by the military,
From the movie "Godzilla Raids Again", 1955.
Marmit Godzilla 1967
Another figure rarely seen, Marmit's
Godzilla and Minya are very accurately done.
From the movie "Son of Godzilla", 1967.
M1 makes some of my favorite vinyl figures
M1 Godzilla 2000 (MireGoji), M1 Godzilla GMK,
and M1 Godzilla 2001 (repaint, GiraGoji version).
Four of my largest Godzillas, from left to right:
Marmit Godzilla 1965, Marmit Godzilla 1962,
Bandai's Large Scale Godzilla 1991, and Marmit Godzilla 1964.
The vinyl figures are all about 14 to 15 inches tall.
MEGA HOUSE - GODZILLA 1964 HAND PUPPET, Movie PROP REPLICA style
This is the incredible GODZILLA 1964 hand puppet,
sulpted by FUYUKI SHINADA
(GMK Godzilla, BIOLLANTE & other KAIJU suits maker).
from the movie GODZILLA vs MOTHRA 1964.
Tsuburaya made this type hand puppet torso to shoot some Godzilla action scenes.
This is the concept of that movie prop replica. The impressive torso-puppet is 16 inches tall!
There is a 9 inch tall Marmit Godzilla 1964 figure next to it for size reference.
A true prize in my collection!
The totally cool and completely awesome
Godzilla 1989 (Bio-Goji) Marui Remote Controlled Figure
Yes, this has to be the "king" of my collection.
This figure is made up of a highly detailed and accurately painted rubber suit,
covering a very heavy robotic endo-skeleton. The robot has 6 functions:
walk forward, turn left, turn right, swing tail, wave head, and roar.
The arms sway when it walks, giving it very realistic movement and power.
When the figure roars, it raises its head slightly, opens its mouth,
and lets out the actual roar used by Toho Ltd. in the movie Godzilla vs. Biollante.
This is a very large figure, it stands at 20 inches tall, and about 38 inches long.
Simply a beautiful collectible to enjoy,
it's like having your own Godzilla straight from the movies.
