H.U.P. stands for Hustlin’ Under Pressure. It started from the local drug dealers in the Houston , Texas hood known as Trinity Gardens on the block of Crosstimbers and Curry Rd … That is until Dre and Dizzy took it and made it a brand, (H.U.P. Entertainment) with Dizzy as C.E.O./ Artist and Dre as President of the label. However, this isn’t where the story starts. Dizzy and Dre began their careers signed to a local label in Houston, Texas where Dre played as C.E.O. and Dizzy as an artist with three other label mates. All was well in the beginning stages: recording and performing at different venues in multiple cities throughout Texas . Soon after gaining a little shine and some buzz two of the members left the label while the leader was incarcerated. Dizzy was only fifteen at the time and he held it down alone.. Lost and confused he did what a true champion does best, “REACH FOR THE STARS”. Shortly after that Dizzy and Dre run into another problem, but this time wit the H.N.I.C. of the label resulting in Dizzy and Dre being cut because of differences of opinions. Even though Dizzy and Dre had a vision of turning H.U.P. from drug slangin’ to mic sangin’ it has now evolved into to much more than that. H.U.P. Entertainment is beyond a record label. It is an entertainment company. Turning into an established empire venturing to become a household name which is now in the process of adding dance teams, boxers, writing a book, scripting a film, and is looking into producing a television series.
