im packing! aaaah.. im packing.. at 2 in the morning..

About Me

tomorrow should alway contain upgrades and improvements. or at least potentially good decisions towards such goals and situations! the sun will rise tomorrow regardless, and i will be smiling for the choices i make today, and dreams drempt during the night.

"なせばなる なさねばならぬ何事も ならぬは人の なさぬなりけり" Uesugi Yozan said it straight up.

Never stay up on the barren heights of cleverness, but come down into the green valleys of silliness. -Wittgenstein

most likely, I will beat you in scrabble, othello(reversi) and poker, but likely lose in a game of speed. or anything done on a wii.

give me two years and i can make any location heaven. cuz i'm versatile like that. and the world is heavenly like that. sumeba miyako~ttene:)we face difficult choices everyday, or is it just that we make them difficult...hmm..

My Interests

work, science, people, good peoples, workbenches, jewelry making, bandaids, glow in the dark bandaids, batman bandaids, cooking, gardening, wikipedia, history, food, baking, music, fuji rock, summer sonic, volunteering, acupuncture spots, sociology, anthropology, really? it's actually harder to find things that i'm not interested in.

I'd like to meet:

surprise me with your courage and wit. loyalty and generosity. it's turns me on.

in friends, i look for every virtue and strengh. mind, spirit and body. if you're lacking any of them... i probably don't want anything with ya

Amanojyaku is a Taiko drumming group, in which my good mate from high school performs in professionally. He's full of passion, always a fountain of inspiration, and really a great friend to boot. (Although, his beating of the desk was very annoying during tests...) Read about his group in Japan Times!

Movies:

adventure movies: indy, mummy, national treasure, librarian, goonies, you name it. it's absolutely the best thing america has given the world along with fred astaire movies. second to microwavable popcorn. even if it does cause cancer. Movies made from comic books especially batman returns. recent favorite: stranger than fiction. amazing performances by all the actors, and a great script.

Television:

csi, csi miami, bones, criminal intent, grey's anatomy, daily show, shouten, ururun, and i hope chikushi tetsuya cures his cancer and comes back on news 23. he must have had an addiction to microwavable popcorn. or cigarettes.

Books:

Tuesdays with Morrie, The Bridge of San Louis Ray, Kitchen. The things they carried, embracing defeat, war without mercy.. bel canto, Dracula, A heartbreaking work of a staggering genius, pride and prejudice. i read the news. obsessively. recently, his dark materials trilogy which was "brilliant!"

Heroes:

Shoji and Takako. They lived the best love story ever. on a lesser scale but more on a social scale, tony kushner, che, marx, luc besson, fred astaire, nakamura kankuro, jon stewart, and frank miller. they make my world a cooler place, nay they made the world a cooler place. or rather a possiblity of a cooler place. a hint maybe..anyone who give hope to others is a hero worth mentioning in my book. with that in mind, john wood and room to read! way to go, corporate strategy applied to NPO management! love it.
