Robin Fuqua is a contemporary artist whose work, based on charicature and expressionism, has generated her a loyal following.
Robin began her professional endeavors in art by selling renditions of Smurfs and animation at the age of six. She received her first award at the age of twelve from the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra for a graphic interpretation of music. She has been exhibiting professionally for fifteen years.
Having evolved her own idiom in painting, Robin rejects modern art schools as homogenizing. She plans to found a gallery with the purpose of encouraging children to develop their own artistic vocabulary. Robin is also in the process of completing her first illustrated children's book, and jewelry line.
With an assemblage of canvasses that merge the comedy and irony of cartoon with the crafty idiom of pop art, Robin Fuqua has carved out a base of collectors that span the heights of Hollywood.
