About Me

The Incinerator’s real name is Robeson Burroughs. He is the son of Jane Burroughs – father unknown. Jane Burroughs was a top physicist for the corporation Republicorp. She was assigned a “top secret” research project, and sequestered away in a private especially made lab. Unbeknownst to Jane Burroughs – she was the research project. George Adams Smithers, the CEO of Republicorp, ordered employees to expose Ms. Burroughs to small doses of radiation on a daily basis. After her doses of radiation, Smithers would personally serve Jane Burroughs her favorite warm drink, chamomile tea. The tea’s flavor masked the taste of the chemicals that Smithers had been placing in her cup on a daily basis. The soon to be single mother was unaware of what she was being fed and exposed to. Jane Burroughs died during child birth. She died giving birth to a burning cocoon. The cocoon burned away, and what was left was an infant whose “skin” burned at 1200 degrees Celsius. Robeson grew up in a secret basement at Republicorp headquarters. Due to his extreme temperature Robeson had to live in a lead bubble, and everything he touched had to be made out of lead. Thus he developed super strength. Robeson’s only friend during this period of time was another Republicorp scientist, Jasmine Tamsyn. Jasmine had been Jane’s best friend, and Jasmine felt it her duty to look after Robeson. As Robeson approached twelve he was becoming too hot for the lead bubble to contain him. Around this same time Jasmine Tamsyn happened upon evidence detailing Smithers’ experiment on Jane Burroughs. To contain Robeson’s heat Jasmine designed a suit or costume made out of a tungsten alloy. When Robeson turned 16 Jasmine told him how Smithers knowingly experimented on his mother, and how this experiment led to Robeson’s unique attributes. Robeson kept the secret to himself, but started planning his escape. When Robeson turned 18 he vanished from Republicorp. During his disappearance he developed his combat, music, and sword skills. Ten years later he resurfaces as the lead singer for Stained Glass Mishap, a band with a small but loyal fan base. He also starts to fight crime as the Incinerator, and dedicates himself to bringing down George Adams Smithers, the head of Republicorp. Bo, the band’s guitar player eventually designs an electrical stun sword that the Incinerator uses in his battle against crime and injustice. The Incinerator currently burns at 2400 degrees Celsius. The Incinerator is hot stuff.Click here to take the Superhero Personality Quiz
