And the list goes on and on and on and on....
I enjoy a good movie - or sometimes a movie someone else might not think is so good. It's all relative, isn't it? Here are a few I enjoyed, in no particular order....Casablanca, Last of the Mohicans, The Bourne Trilogy, Casino Royale, The Usual Suspects, Girl With the Pearl Earring, The Talented Mr. Ripley, Memento, Moonstruck, City of Angels, Shakespeare in Love, The English Patient....and like the music, the list goes on and on and on and ....well, you get the picture...
Grey's Anatomy, Anderson Cooper 360, Entourage, Bones, Lost, Dexter, Brothers & Sisters, House..
I read far too much to put a comprehensive list here so for now, let's just start with a few things.
I think Anita Shreve writes like a painter. I love it when the prose is so incredible that you don't even realize you're reading.
Some Titles I've Really Enjoyed
Memoirs of a Geisha ~Arthur Golden
The Mermaids Singing ~Lisa Carey
In the Country of the Young ~Lisa Carey
The Lovely Bones ~Alice Sebold
The Secret Life of Bees ~Sue Monk Kidd
Snow in August ~Pete Hamill
Interred With Their Bones ~Jennifer Lee Carrell
Born Standing Up ~Steve Martin
Most things written by Nick Hornby
Any and every single thing ever written by David Sedaris. I think if he scrawled something on a napkin at Starbucks I'd think it was brilliant.
One of my all time favorite books is
The Shadow of the Wind ~Carlos Ruiz Zafon
If you're looking for a really wonderful read - The Shadow of the Wind is it.
I can't end this section without a plug for my favorite Journalist's book either. I've read it more than once and I really enjoyed it.
Dispatches from the Edge - A Memoir of War, Disasters, and Survival ~Anderson Cooper
That seems like a good start. Rarely will you ever catch me without something to read.
Ask me about books or tell me what you're reading...
My Mom - She's an amazing woman.
People who are truly decent human beings.
