Stéphane was born in France on October 22, 1972. After completing his film studies in Paris VIII and Brooklyn College (New York), he worked on several short films.
In 1995, he directed Tarama No Tarama (video, 7’), (which was selected in several festivals), and Jour de fierté (video, 48’), a documentary on Paris Gay Pride 95.
In 1999, he directed The Turtle and the Maiden (35 mm, 13’), his first musical short. This films has been shown in numerous French and international festivals and has received several awards and mentions.
Stéphane also works as a musical theatre related free-lance writer. He has worked for Playbill Online, Tony Awards Online and The Sondheim Review. He is the co-editor of Regard en Coulisse , the French musical theatre website.
In 2002, Stéphane directed Paradisco (35 mm, 18’), a short musical with a unique cast of young talents from the French musical theatre scene. Paradisco has been shown in numerous festivals, especially in the USA, and on cable TV.
In 2005, Stéphane wrote and directed Les Nouveaux Romantiques, a musical that ran for four months at Théâtre Essaïon, Paris. In December 2006, he directed Sing A Song of Christmas and A White Christmas Celebration, two Christmas shows that played in Ikspiari, Tokyo.
In 2007, Stéphane directs C’est toujours ça de pris, at the Theatre de l’Ile Saint-Louis as well as Stéphane Corbin’s concerts in various Parisian venues.
Stéphane is now working on Strangers In Paradise, his first feature film.
