tya - world music meets trip-hop grooves
The world music project TYA was inspired by a long stay in Australia and a deep experience of the Aboriginal culture. The name TYA (meaning 'the earth' or 'mother earth') was taken from a book of Aboriginal stories given to me by a wonderful native woman. I chose this name because I like the way Aboriginals see themselves as part of everything. I love their close connection to nature and strong appreciation of life in general.
