Raised in Texas by Puerto-Rican and Colombian-Swiss parents, Kathy has been singing since the tender age of 2. She took piano lessons for six years since the age of 6 . Kathy taught herself how to sing, just by listening to the music that was played around the house and then found a love for music and singing. She picked up many musical influences such as: Pop, R&B, Gospel, Jazz, Soul, Hip-Hop, Latin, Classical and Broadway. She then began showing her talent from then on. Her first performance was singing "Tomorrow" from the broadway film, Annie. Through the years she picked up influences by artists such as: Barbara Striesand, The Carpenters, Ella Fitzgerald, En Vogue, La India, Vanessa Williams, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, Toni Braxton and many more. Alexandra has a wide vocal range and continues to teach and train herself. During her high school years she developed a love for composing her own music and writing lyrics. Since a young age, Alexandra has performed in school talent shows, karaoke places, at Hispanic Festivals in TX and Virginia, the Washington DC Convention Center, The National Anthem at The White House and Baseball games, Popstars 2 audition in TX, on the spanish local radio station, on live MHZ Hot TV Top Ten Video Countdown, at Motown Cafe in Orlando FL, at American Idol audition in NYC second season, P.Diddy's- "Justin's" Restaurant in NYC, in Colombia and many more places.... In college, Alexandra majored in Voice/Opera, Classical Music and enjoyed that side of her voice as well. She minored in Jazz Dance, and had previously danced at a young age dancing tap, ballet, and modern dance. Several of these she studied at a performing arts school when she was in elementary and middle school. For fun she likes to Latin dance!! "I know for all those that want to pursue something in music, if you believe in yourself and don't doubt, you can make it! Just have faith in both your mind and heart! Just remember, if you don't make it in one place, doesn't mean you don't have what it takes. It may just mean that isn't the path you were supposed to go at that time in your life.
