His musical gift, which combines the genre of jazz, gospel and neo-soul, creates uniqueness in his musicality. In his early music years, he sat under the tutelages of many world renowned, secular artists who have now taken offense because He chose to use his gift in the gospel arena. Born in the country of Jamaica, he originally started as a vocalist entering many solo and choir competitions and sang lead on an album that went global in 1995. In 1996, he began playing the keyboards but continued as a bass player when he toured and a drummer in his local church. In 1999, Garfield migrated to the USA to be with his family where he later completed a two-year study at Berklee College of Music in Professional Music. He currently possesses a BA in theology and is half way through his MA in Worship Studies at Liberty University. Garfield wants to be remembered as an anointed worshiper, not only through music but also in lifestyle. Professionally, Garfield serves as an International Music Director (church organization), Music Consultant, Youth Liaison and church musician.
